I am a Kansas City native, born and raised! I grew up in Overland Park through the Blue Valley school district and did not stray far for undergrad, attending Kansas State University. I received my MD from the University of Kansas Medical Center (admittedly, the transition from Wildcat to Jayhawk was a tough one for me!). Following medical school, I elected to stay in the Kansas City area to complete my residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital. I feel so lucky for the high level of medical training I received and as a result I am confident in the management of a wide variety of diagnoses, both common and rare. 
 
Pediatrics is the best field to work in as it is challenging, rewarding, and each child brings their own light to every encounter. As a pediatrician, it is my job to advocate for the health and wellness of every child, making Shawnee Mission Pediatrics a perfect fit. While I know the majority of the hard work of raising children occurs in the home, finding the right pediatrician can make all the difference to ensure the healthy development from childhood to adulthood.
